Language Arts
Today we practiced spelling word meanings and also practiced the skill of spelling plural nouns correctly. We also practiced finding the main idea and important details of short reading passages. We visited with our reading buddies and had a no bullying pep talk from Mrs. Slater.
Our vocab vine words were chrono (time) and Syn- (with together)
Math
Today we used pattern blocks to help us find the fractions involved in a whole. We also learned about mixed numbers and improper fractions. Homework tonight is S.L. 5.2 (Remember that for problem number 1. The whole shape is ONE.)
DARE
Officer Redman talked with us about peer pressure today. There are many types of peer pressure. Sometimes those people who want us to make bad choices pretend to be our friends.
