The students all switched classes today. For some of them it is a new routine that will quickly become a habit.
Language Arts -
Today we got to know one another. We talked about worries that we have and read a poem, "Fifteen, Maybe Sixteen Things to Worry About." Tomorrow we will edit these and then type them on the computer. We also passed out books, binders, and handouts. Students had music and gym today.
Math-
We also got to one another by creating Math About Me mini-posters and then we went over procedures. Next we investigated our student reference books and tried to learn how we could use them to help us this year. We also completed math boxes 1.1. No homework tonight.
Health-
We started health class with some jokes because humor and laughter are easy ways to be healthy. Then we discussed ways to have a healthy self-concept. We completed the check for understanding at the end of the lesson.
Don't forget!
