DARE Graduation - Don't forget that DARE graduation is this Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in the Northpoint Cafeteria. Come see your 5th grader graduate from the DARE program. We think the program will last 30-45 minutes.
Language Arts~
We took a spelling pretest over all 25 words today. Test will be on Friday. We reviewed the differences between plural and possessive nouns. We practiced identifying plural nouns. We previewed our new vocabulary for chapters 22-24. There will be a quiz tomorrow. We read and discussed those chapters as well. HW: Titles for chapters, questions, and journal pages. Most students are done with all of this.
Math~
We reviewed data landmarks and used the information on Study Link 5.10 to construct graphs. We reviewed how to round numbers and worked on math boxes.
HW: journal pages 165-167 and study link 6.1
Science~
Our new question is 'How can we protect our natural resources?' We discussed renewable and nonrenewable resources today.
HW: The before you move on questions at the bottom of page 137.
