Welcome back to school! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends.
LA~
Today we had music and IMC. We came back to class and took our spelling pretest and went over our grammar skill (articles: a, an , the). We reviewed our vocabulary: selfish, bumbling, cranky, commotion, exasperated, specialty and famished. Our vocabulary skill is antonyms. Our comprehension skill for the week is evaluating what we read by making judgments. Are the characters people you would like to be friends with? Why or why not?
HW: We DO have weekly homework this week!
Our RIT words:
Memoir - a written account of events one has lived through; a limited autobiography
Moral - concerned with the principles of right and wrong rather than law or custom
Multi syllabic - Words with more than one syllable
Myth - an anonymous, traditional story that explains a natural phenonmenon, an aspect of human behavior, or a mysteroy of the universe.
Manual - a book that helps its readers to understand or use something.
Math~
Today we worked on population maps. We used percentages to compare the different populations of Asia and Australia. We also reviewed probability.
HW: Finish p. 265, do pages 263 and 266. Do study link 9.7
Test alert: There will be a test over unit 9 next Tuesday!

We reviewed series circuits and learned about parallel circuits.
