It is hard to believe that today is the last Monday before spring break! Wow, time flies!
Language Arts
Today we took our spelling pretest. We learned when to use comparative adjectives (those ending in er) and superlative adjectives (those ending in est). We read our story, Exploring the Undersea Territory, and talked about knowing the difference between fact and opinion. Our vocabulary includes period, vessels, valuable, documenting, and estimated.
We also worked on published books. The books are being sent to the publisher on Wednesday. Some students will be bringing them home to work on. Please make sure that they come back to school tomorrow.
Math
We took a pretest today that covered coordinate grids, area and volume. I am planning on working in small groups to help students learn these concepts.
Science
Today we looked at aerial photographs of Mount Shasta and compared them to our topographic map and our model. We did a response sheet. Tomorrow is our test and the last day of science.
