Language Arts
Today we reviewed our grammar skills. We practiced making plural and singular possessive nouns. We went on an idiom hunt in our reading books as we read the story again. We started our spelling sort and meaning page. That page is due on Thursday. We also had PE and Music.
A family homework page came home today. This month we will be focusing on organization in our writing. Toward the end of the month we will be writing a piece about our families. We would love to also have some project that represents our families along with the writing. Check out the green piece of paper for more information.
Math
Today we reviewed for tomorrow's math test. We went over the review item by item. Then we played quiz bowl with questions like those that are on tomorrow's test. There was also a one page study guide that came home tonight. Those that are turned into me tomorrow will get extra credit. Please go over the review and study guide tonight. There will be a short time to answer questions before we take the test tomorrow.
Science
We began trying to make our telegraphs today. We are still experimenting with the number of winds and the size of the gap between the rivet and the piece of steel. It is a very delicate process.
Look for the final study guide on this unit to come home tomorrow. The test will be next Monday!
