So sorry about not blogging yesterday. I don't even have a good excuse. I guess sometimes even adults forget. I will give myself an oops slip.
Language Arts
Today we had DEAR time. We went to see a play called "Earthquack." The play was put on by Mrs. McGann's and Mrs. Woods's classes. It was fantastic. I give it 2 thumbs way up. We came back to the classroom and read and discussed the story. We are talking this week about why author's write. Fluency and Flow was passed out. It is due on Tuesday of next week. All assessments will also be on Tuesday of next week. We also wrote about our families today.
Fluency and Flow Expectations:
1. Read to adult and have adult sign paper.
2. Answer questions at the end of the story in complete sentences.
3. Write a story using words to know.
4. Practice words to learn with a partner. Have partner sign paper.
5. Skip the skill page.
Math
We tested unit 4 skills. Several students didn't finish. We will finish up tomorrow. Look for the goals packet for unit 5 to come home tomorrow.
Art Smart
Thanks to the lovely Art Smart Mom for teaching us about Opt Art. There were some cool pictures being made that were full of movement and looked 3-Dimensional. It is so great to have someone come in and teach us about art
