Language Arts~
Today we went to music and to the IMC. We came back to class and took our vocabulary quiz over chapter 12 and the mid-book quiz over chapters 1-11. We previewed new vocabulary and went over comprehension questions. We read chapter 12 and learned new things about Annabeth and Grover.
HW: Study for vocabulary quiz. Finish chapter 12 comprehension questions. Complete persuasive letter to Zeus, convincing him that Percy is innocent.
Math~
Today we reviewed expanded notation and the reason for place value. We applied these concepts in our addition of whole numbers and decimals. We also got a Unit 1 concept review worksheet that is due on Friday.
HW: Pages 32-34 in journal 1 and study link 2.2
Science (Grannan)~
Today we discussed how binoculars and telescopes help us see things in space. We also did a cause and effect worksheet about how rotation and revolution causes cycles.
