What a Day!

Friday, Picture Day, Day before a long weekend!  The kids were energized today!

Language Arts~
We went to PE this morning and came back to take our vocabulary quiz.  We discussed answering question in complete sentences with a lot of detail.  Also we talked about how important it is to answer all of the questions that are listed and not just the last question.  I collected chapter 6 questions.  We previewed chapter 7 vocabulary and picked our 5 words for Tuesday's vocab quiz.  We read and discussed chapter 7.  We did chapter 7 questions as a group and then we took a quiz to see what cabin we would be in at Camp Half-Blood.

Picture Time!  We had a little homework time and then went to our photo shoot.

Math~
No math today!  Taking our photos took a little longer than expected.

Science (Woods)~

Today we learned about seasonal changes.  We learned that seasons are caused by Earth's tilt.  We have summer when the Northern Hemisphere receives the most direct sunlight.  We have winter when the Northern Hemisphere receives more indirect light.  We answered the Before you move on questions about this section.

I hope everyone has a safe and fun long weekend!
