I hope everyone enjoyed the milder weather this weekend.
Don't forget Science Expo is due next Monday!
Language Arts
Today we reviewed concepts. We also took the unit 3 test and worked on page 11 in our autobiographies. Those need to be edited and signed tonight. We went to library. When we came back we had visitors from China. Two students from China and two students from DMS came to visit today and to tell us a little about China. This is part of an exchange program that DMS participated in last year. We worked on contractions. We are beginning a novel study this week. No weekly homework.
Math
We reviewed order of operations. We also began looking at negative numbers. HW: Mathboxes 7.6 and study link 7.6.
Science
We began studying rocks today. We learned that calcite, a common mineral, reacts with acid. It bubbles. We dropped the rocks that we are studying in vinegar to see if they react the same way. If they do we know that they contain calcite. No homework.
