Language Arts
Today we sorted spelling words by the vowel combination. In grammar, we reviewed the different tenses of verbs. In reading, we partner read the story and recorded facts and opinions. We also spent some time reading quietly for AR. Remember that reading projects are due the day after tomorrow. AR tests need to be taken at that time as well. Continue to work on your weekly homework packet.
Math
Today we took a unit 6 review. The kids took this review much like they would a test. (I'm not taking a grade on it.) Overall the kids did a great job. Tomorrow we will go over the trouble spots and I think they will be ready for the test on Thursday. No homework.
Science
The kids tested some different variables with their flipper systems. They changed the mass of the object being flipped and the angle of the flipper system. We named all the different variables in the system. Tomorrow they will work on a review sheet. On Thursday, we will review the sheet together and the test will be on Friday.
