I hope everyone had a restful weekend.
The Discovery principals and a few 6th grade students came to visit us today. The told us all about Discovery. There is a yellow packet coming home today with a ton of information in it. Please go over this information with your child. The first page is your enrollment form. This must be returned to me by Friday, March 26th.
Language Arts:
Today we reviewed language arts skills and took our spelling pretest. We went to the book fair. We finished up almost all of our reading projects. We do have weekly homework this week.
Math:
We talked about finding the percent of a whole number. The easiest way to do this is to change the percent into a fraction or decimal and then multiply. Homework is study link 8.9. Problem of the week also went home today. This week's skill is to look for a pattern.
Science:
We took our final test over rocks and minerals.
Art Smart:
We have art smart on Wednesday. We will be painting bottles. The paint will not come off clothing! Wear old clothes.
