Language Arts
We took another ISTEP test this morning. We had to read a story and answer questions. We also had a smaller writing prompt.
We finished up our I love to Read Challenge raffle. Congratulations to all our winners. I think our readers were the real winners! We visited with our reading buddies and worked on grammar and spelling. We also began a creative writing assignment about characters.
Math
Today we worked on comparing fractions and mixed numbers. We also worked on figuring out a fraction of a number. Hint: Divide the number by the denominator and then multiply your answer by the numerator (4/5 of 20 = 16)
Science
We continued working on our Calcite Quest. We are going to look for further evidence by evaporating out the vinegar and seeing what is left in each of the dishes. We also hava control group of calcite and of vinegar.
