How in the world did we get to Thursday?
Language Arts
We had music today. We then reviewed context clues and long a words. We discussed compound predicates and proofread an advertisement looking for sentence fragments, capitalization and punctuation errors. We finished the main idea and detail graphic organizer that we started yesterday. We finished our portrait poems and rewrote them on lined paper. The graphic organizer and the poem are homework if they were not finished in class.
Students also got a book order today. The orders are due to me on Wednesday, September 8th. I tried to set up the online ordering page and that is not working right now. I will try again from home. Paper and check orders can just be sent into school.
Math
We reviewed for the Unit 1 test today and did math boxes 1.9. We also played Polygon Pair Ups.
Math boxes are homework (if not done already).
We also discussed moving the math test to Friday. The kids feel very prepared. Sadly My homeroom has a Social Studies test tomorrow. So the test in math will be on Tuesday!
Science (Grannan)
We read about maps and watched a science video on streams and landforms.
No homework.
