Totally Tuesday

Language Arts
Today we had PE. We came back and did our grammar minute. We sorted long i words by the way that the long i is spelled. We wrote complex sentences in grammar. We read our story as a whole group and looked for ways that what a character says and does help us learn about the character. We practiced writing emails. We used fake addresses. In vocabulary vine we learned that gon means angle and that poly means many. We will have a vocab vine quiz on Monday over the first 20 root words.

Math
Today we continued our investigation into place value. Today we used calculators to help us. For example: If we wanted to change 574 to 504, we would need to subtract 70. (not 7) We learned a new game called fishing for digits. It can be found on page 242 of your student reference book.

Science (Woods)
Today we finished up working on our webquest. We used a cool webbing tool to make a flow chart.
