Trustworthy Tuesday

Our word of the week is trust. We have been discussing how to behave in a trustworthy way.

Language Arts
Today we started a morning work procedure that helps us review all sorts of language arts skills. We will be beginning class this way everyday. We also sorted our spelling words by how they spelled the "ur" sound. We corrected more run-on sentences by changing them into two simple sentences or making them compound and complex sentences. We practiced our vocabulary words and finding causes and effects. Our two new root words of the day are tect (build or cover) and aqui, aqua (water). We also read more of Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Please remember to send in those candy boxes. (See yesterday's post or your child's take home folder)

Math
Today we continued practicing our estimating skills. We also reviewed multiplication strategies. Homework tonight is Study Link 2.8

Health
We talked today about friends, feelings, cliques and peer pressure. We discussed that having friends is important, but we still need to think for ourselves. Homework is Lesson 3 check up and page 6 in the worksheet packet.

What to look for in take home folders.
