What a Wednesday!

Language Arts
We had a very busy morning. We reviewed 4th grade roots in vocabulary vine. We also wrote examples of Haiku, couplets, oxymorons, alliterations and idioms. We visited with our reading buddies and then reread our story for the week and filled out a graphic organizer about the story. The graphic organizer should come in handy as students write the summary for the weekly homework. Then we had centers. We worked on spelling and vocabulary, read independently and worked on comprehension skills while reading in small groups. Mrs. Simon came in and helped make sure that everyone knew what to do!

Don't forget about book orders! They are due in two days!

Math
Yesterday we squared numbers. Today we unsquared them. We learned how to problem solve finding the square root of a number. Homework tonight is Study Link 1.8

Health
The chapter 1 test was put in mailboxes today.

We started chapter 2. We discussed how kids and families change.

Market Day orders went home today.
