It definitely is feeling more like fall out there. Tomorrow is NCLI day. We will be outside for a good part of the day. Please dress appropriately! Students should wear a jacket or a sweatshirt. I did have a student bring a very cool winter hat today. It looked great but I'm not sure that I am ready for that cold of weather yet!
Language arts
Today we reviewed for tomorrow's assessments. We reviewed the vocab, context clues, and author's purpose. We also reviewed the grammar skill of proper nouns. Tomorrow we will get in all of our assessments in between our fun activities outside. We are very excited because we will spend about 1 1/2 hours with our reading buddies. My language arts class will also be eating outside tomorrow. So please send in a blanket or towel to sit on outside tomorrow.
Fluency and Flow is due tomorrow!
Math
We tested over estimation and computation today.
Science
We had an in-class assignment to review temporary magnets and induced magnetism. Then we watched a Bill Nye the Science Guy video all about magnetism. The kids aced the short "quiz" after the movie.
